It was my second year working in Arizona on a mission school for Navajo and Apache children. I was sitting in my cubicle bedroom listening…

We got up very early the next morning and drove back to the Going to the Sun road to Logan Pass. We left extremely early since it would be a long drive to the pass and we wanted to get there early enough to get a parking spot. There wasn’t much traffic at all on our way there. We were happy to find that the trail was finally clear of snow.
On our fifth day, we got up early and packed up the car and drove to Logan Pass. We were going to move to the east side of the park and stay at the Many Glacier Hotel. I had prepared myself by watching videos of the road, studying the map, and of course we had already road the Red Bus and taken the hiking shuttle as far as Logan Pass.

I had been dreaming of going to Glacier National Park for years. I had watched videos and read tour books. In the spring of 2016, I finally decided to be adventurous and plan the trip for the next year. (You have to book hotels in the park a year in advance.) It was only going to be my sister and I going on the trip. If you are single like me, don’t let that stop you from going on trips like this.
I created this card for a card swap at the Schaumburg, IL Scrapbook and Stamp Expo. This was the first time I attended the Expo or a card swap. My card won an honorable mention. It was a lot of fun and you get new ideas seeing what other people made. We had to create 31 of the same card. I decided to make a shaker card with cake sprinkles.
I created this card for the Lawn Fawnatics challenge #56: Beautiful Beaches. I tried to use the colors from the inspiration photo and created the card using Ahoy Matey stamp set. I decided to add a dolphin and make it for my younger Mexican Sponsor child since she told me dolphins were her favorite animal.
Time to get the grill on now that I can get fresh tomatoes and corn at a local farmer’s market. I purchased two small cast iron frying pans from the Lodge outlet in Tennessee on a previous road trip. They work great for side items liked caramelized onions.
